Dear friends,

Haiti was terribly devastated by a major earthquake on January 12, 2010. Fortunately the city of Aquin was not severely affected.   However in Port-au-Prince and in other parts of the country,   we lost several Aquinois and friends of Aquin during this catastrophe.   Aquin Development Foundation, Inc is saddened by the loss and devastation caused by this disaster and wishes to express its heartfelt condolences to those who have lost family and friends.

The Executive Committee

ADF has a new Executive Committee!!

To all ADF members, supporters and friends:

Aquin Development Foundation, Inc (ADF) held its general assembly meeting on July 11, 2009. At the assembly, Jean Francois Pericles was elected President of the Foundation. The change of guard was smooth, natural and seamless since the newly elected president was already an active member and participant in the Executive Committee.

In passing the baton to Jean Francois Pericles, Jean Lenz Michel thanked the assembly, the ADF members for their support and promised to remain an active member of ADF.

As the first President of ADF, Jean Lenz Michel laid the structure for ADF that has guided it in its birth stage. The entire membership and the Aquin community were well served by Lenz Michel’s leadership. Under his tutelage, ADF initiated several programs such as subsidies to the Foyer St. Joseph, the cleaning of the town’s drains and the planning of the new library in Aquin.

Our new president, Jean Francois Pericles, is very dedicated to Aquin and has been instrumental in reaching out to the larger community, to different associations and enlarging our membership. He has demonstrated strong leadership skills during his time as Secretary of ADF. During the assembly, Jean-Francois pledged to advance the projects of the Foundation and continue to uphold the mission of ADF.

Marie-Line Comeau Paul was elected Secretary filling the position previously held by Jean Francois Pericles.

Our new Executive Committee is as follows:
Jean Francois Pericles, President
Kenty Coulanges, Vice President
Franklin Pierre-Louis, Treasurer
Marie-Line Comeau Paul, Secretary
Ronald Simon, Secretary

There is no change to the Board of Directors.

We look forward to your continued support and we hope to see you at our next gathering, the annual fundraising gala to be held at Adria Hotel on October 17, 2009.

Truly yours,

Marie-Line Comeau Paul
